I’ve been on the look out for fun workout clothes for quite some time. I first came across Zayze when looking through the pictures of the November Project NYC tribe. A group of the girls had on these pink leopard print shorts and I wanted them. I stalked through Instagram and finally found my way to the Zayze website. I was instantly smitten. The crazy patterns were right up my alley, but I was skeptical about fit. I hate when my tights slide down while I run. As I looked through the website though, I was drawn to the fact that all of the models were fit women. No stick skinny legs here. Real muscles. Real quads. Real butts. Maybe they would fit?
I tentatively bought one pair of shorts, one pair of capris, and one pair of leggings, figuring I’d give everything a try. And, I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, I became obsessed. The fit on these were perfect. They never rolled or slid down. They never rode up. They just fit. The patterns were perfect for my incredibly early mornings. The bright colors and creative designs got me excited to jump out of bed and get dressed to workout.
I got so many compliments on the flattering fit and fun patterns, and people started asking me where my amazing tights came from. The next thing I knew, my tribe mates from November Project LA were rocking Zayze gear too! Since then, I have been stopped on the street by strangers, questioned during races, and even asked by my co-workers where all of my fun tights come from. I proudly tell them Zayze.
I have never been the girl who was comfortable in tight clothing or running without a shirt (Strange for a former swimmer, no?). I used to like to keep covered up and preferred baggy workout clothes that did not call attention to my body. Over the last year and a half, I have become fitter, faster, and stronger than I ever thought possible. And clothing like what I have gotten from Zayze has helped me feel more comfortable showing off what I have earned. I am now proud of how my butt looks in pictures. I love the shape of my legs in my race photos. And, I no longer mind running without my shirt.
These new capris are one of my favorite pairs. I hope you’ll indulge me a nerdy minute here. I am a doctor. And the patterns on these tights remind me of phagocytes (immune cells in the body that attack pathogens). Perhaps that’s a strange association to make with workout tights, but they make me feel fit, like I can attack my next run. These capris make me feel beautiful and fast and strong. They compress in all the right places. The flattering, wide, flat waistband keeps the tights from sliding down and make me feel comfortable running without a shirt. And, after rolling around in the mud in them, I can say for certain, they are easy to wash!
