The story behind the ‘Hippie Chick’ yoga pants…
I’m a mom, sister, daughter, friend, fitness fanatic, foodie, movie & TV addict, spirit junkie, entrepreneur, and a fine and digital artist named Camille Enkeboll. I moved across country with my two kids four years ago to Southern New Jersey from Los Angeles. If I only had a nickel for all the New Jersey natives who have asked me, “Why did you move to Jersey?” I’d be uber rich! I moved for love, boy it’s been a roller coaster of emotions and growing pains, but one I don’t regret.
Like Kelly Clarkson sings, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!”
I recently met a cool chick named Shayna, who is the owner of Zayze, a unique yoga leggings company, at an yoga event we were both vendors at called Namaste Philly. I couldn’t pull myself away from her huge array of amazingly, wild, and colorfully fun yoga pants and apparel line. I have to say, when I see some extraordinary yoga clothes, I just can’t resist. I love to express myself through the clothing I wear.
Shayna approached me and asked if I would be interested in having my designs featured on her yoga pants for a special artist collection. I said, “Yes, of course!” I was so excited and grateful for the opportunity.
My mission as an artist is to keep others and myself on their spiritual paths, reminding them of what’s truly important, through inspiring, fun, bright artwork and messages on cool stuff people can use and or wear everyday.
The purpose behind the ‘Hippie chick’ design was to be a fun reminder taking us back to a time where peace and love was the world’s primary focus. I wanted to inspire women to be in harmony with the magical nature within and outside us.
When I received my ‘Hippie Chick’ yoga capri and leggings, I was so thrilled! It never gets old seeing my artwork come to life on products. I am humbled by the experiences. The yoga pants are very bright and bold. At first I was a little unsure if I could pull these off in public. I decided that I would hold my head up high, (like my mommy always told me to) and wore them proudly to a Barre class at my gym. I got many compliments for their debut. I loved looking in the mirror at the rainbow of colors. They made me feel happy.
One of my goals as an artist is to make your eyes dance when looking at my works of art. Having the reminder to breathe and speak my simple truth that is drawn as the nose and lips are very powerful messages that I need to remember on a daily basis. I feel these important messages are interacting with me even if I’m not focusing on them.
I am super enthusiastic for this new adventure with Zayze and look forward to seeing where this journey goes…
